A landlord in Qatar can evict a tenant in India through the rent controller or civil court under the state's rent law. Punjab and Chandigarh give eligible NRI owners a special faster route for own use, and other states have their own grounds such as arrears and subletting. You appoint an attorney holder by a power of attorney attested in Qatar, and we conduct the case.
- Document route
- Qatari notary (Ministry of Justice), Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs attestation, then Embassy of India attestation

Tenant Eviction from Qatar: how it works
We check the rent agreement, its registration and the payment record, and identify the applicable law, such as the Kerala Buildings (Lease and Rent Control) Act for Kerala properties. A legal notice terminates the tenancy and demands arrears. Grounds like non-payment, subletting, damage or the landlord's bona fide need are pleaded according to the statute, and Punjab and Chandigarh's NRI provision is used where the property is there and its conditions are met.
The eviction petition is filed with ownership and tenancy evidence. Rent control courts often direct the tenant to deposit arrears and continue paying into court, which encourages settlement. If contested, your affidavit is filed from Qatar and video testimony is requested where allowed. After the order, execution restores possession, and we prepare a registered agreement and police verification for future tenants. Where the tenant offers to leave in exchange for time or a waiver of part of the arrears, we negotiate terms and have them recorded by the court so they can be enforced.
